Pipeline Engineer (Water) - (w/m/d)
The German Chamber of Commerce for Spain is looking for a
Pipeline Engineer (Water) - (w/m/d)
for an international German company that develops and commercializes trenchless systems for the rehabilitation of pressure pipelines for different fluids such as water, oil, and gas.
The candidate will be based in Spain (home office) and work for the business unit Technic / Construction Management and is expected to be hired as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review the performance of contractors, other disciplines, and vendors during project execution,
- Responsible for project execution, risk management, compliance with technical regulations
- Ensure design quality in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices,
- Participate in the preparation of safety studies, HAZOPs, and risk assessment reports,
- Coordinate with clients and contractors for all aspects of project requirements,
- Coordinate the preparation of the design basis and technical documentation,
- Lead and participate in technical tasks, such as assisting in the development of specifications, data sheets, calculations, drawings, and material approvals,
- Approval of technical studies, design drawings and documents,
- Participate in meetings with the customer (e.g., design reviews),
- Ensure that all required risk assessments are created and maintained,
- Perform contract management for jobs within the project, including all aspects of invoicing and cost control.
Your Profil:
- University degree in civil/mechanical/chemical/process engineering,
- At least ten years of experience in an international environment, proven experience in water supply and wastewater management or the chemical/petrochemical industry,
- Strong knowledge in the use of MS Office products,
- Thorough knowledge of the standards and design specifications used in the water and chemical, petrochemical industries,
- Detailed knowledge of relevant national and international regulations and standards (DIN, EN, ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, etc.),
- Experience in work planning,
- Experience as a supervisor on construction sites,
- Qualification as a safety engineer is an advantage,
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people, excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken,
- Willingness to travel internationally (max. 25%).
